Who we are
QuantaImages is provided by Jump Assembly Limited, New Zealand, the makers of QuantaDocs. This policy covers the QuantaImages app on iPhone, iPad and Android, and the QuantaImages.com website.
Your photos and projects
The app uses the photos you take or select to create editable projects. Photos, annotations, captions, project names, thumbnails and editing preferences are stored locally on your device so you can save, reopen and edit your work.
You do not need to sign in or provide your name, email address or payment details to use the app. QuantaImages has no advertising, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your personal information or use your images for advertising or AI training.
Camera and photo permissions
You choose the images to import using your device's photo picker. The camera feature lets you take a new photo, and original camera photos are saved to your device's photo library or gallery. You can also save finished images there. Depending on your platform and device, these actions may require camera or photo-storage permission.
You can manage permissions in your device settings. Declining a permission may prevent the related feature from working. QuantaImages does not request access to your contacts, microphone or device location.
Sharing images
When you choose Share, QuantaImages passes the finished image and accompanying share text to the app or destination you select through your device's sharing controls. We do not automatically send your images to QuantaDocs or another service.
Photos and annotations may contain personal or sensitive information. Review what you share and who will receive it. The receiving app or service handles shared content under its own privacy policy.
Storage, backups and deletion
Saved projects remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app's data. Delete a project from My Images to remove it from the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local project data.
Projects and preferences may be included in normal device backups or device transfers, depending on your Apple, Google or device settings. QuantaImages does not provide its own cloud sync service, and we cannot access your device backups. Manage backup copies through your device or backup provider.
Deleting a project does not delete original photos or exported images from your photo library, copies you have shared, or existing backups. Those copies must be managed separately.
Website and external services
Our website uses Cloudflare for hosting and delivery. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the projects stored in the app. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you follow a link to the App Store, Google Play, QuantaDocs or another website, that service's privacy policy applies. Apple, Google and device providers may also process store, backup or diagnostic information under your settings and their own privacy policies.
Contacting us and your privacy rights
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond to your enquiry and provide support. Please avoid sending photos or other personal information that we do not need to resolve your request. Our email provider may process this correspondence, including outside New Zealand.
We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and meet any legal obligations. You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@quantadocs.com. We cannot retrieve projects stored only on your device or in your backups.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app, website or our privacy practices change. The current policy will be published on this page with its updated date.
